Bali is an island where the hospitality industry has been thriving for decades and where the wine industry has been booming, with the high demands of tourism. Over the years, wines have been introduced in Bali, yet service professionals have had little place to improve their skills and knowledge on wines in general. With the creation of The Indonesia Sommelier Association – ISA, Bali Chapter, encourages Bali’s Food and Beverage & Hospitality Industry professionals to learn about wines and work towards becoming professional Sommeliers.
The Island of Gods, Bali finally saw the inauguration of the Indonesia Sommelier Association Bali Chapter at Aston Beach Resort and Spa Nusa Dua on November 12th 2012, establish for more than 5 year ISA Bali Chapter reach the number of 110 members, Win couple of National Competition even participate the World Sommelier Competition in Mendoza on last year representing by Sansan Pratama as Indonesia Best Sommelier 2016.
The ISA Bali Chapter has a wine classroom donated by Hatten Wines, located in the heart of Sanur, where amateur and professional wine appreciation and training is dispensed.
