The purpose of this unit is to assess candidate knowledge and understanding of wine production and short brief of wine history. An understanding of the process of the grape growing, the grape structure, major grape varieties, the harvest, the making of the wine and the different categories of wine, label information in the bottle.


The candidate will be expected to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the following:
- Short brief of wine history
- Better understanding of grape and how its grows
- Knowing of grape variety and its characteristic
- Explain the wine making process
- Knowing on the different category of wine
- Understand on how to storage the wine
- Able to read label in the bottle
